Gary Metcalf

Gary Co-Founded Cadence Sports in 2006 with a simple dream of working in the endurance sports arena he loved. A former soccer player turned triathlete, Gary is always on the move and does not comprehend the idea of not moving. Over the years, Gary has been fortunate to spearhead a myriad of different event projects, mostly in the cause-related arena, which has become a personal passion and focus of Cadence. Gary believes that our events can truly generate change by the impactful experience they create. Gary holds bachelor degrees in Economics and International Business and a minor in Spanish from Texas Tech University. Gary works, trains, and spends as much time with his partner, Kim and 9-month-old son, Emerson.

Lauren Descovich

VP, Event Management

Lauren is the VP, Event Management at Cadence Sports and oversees the day to day project management of our cause-related clients. Lauren holds a degree in Sports Management from the University of Texas at Austin. Prior to joining the team at Cadence, she spent two years working at a country club in the restaurant and special events (i.e. banquets and tournaments). She also worked two years with the University of Texas athletic department as a student in the marketing department where she executed game day promotions and sponsor activations for all of the Division I sports. The experience of the two previous roles aided in her interest of special events and directed her to her career in Event Management.

Luke Allelo

Manager, Event Management

Luke Allelo is an Event Manager at Cadence and manages many of our small-medium sized projects and plays more granular management roles with others. Luke grew up moving around the country before eventually settling in Waxahachie, Texas just south of Dallas. Luke has always had a never-ending love for sports and the outdoors. Fast-forward through numerous seasons of youth and high school sports, band, becoming an Eagle Scout, and Boston Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps, Luke was off to Louisiana State University. At LSU, he played on the Ultimate Frisbee club team and marched in the marching band for two years. Luke's degree plan was in Sports Management and worked in the LSU Athletic Ticket Office, keeping his passion for all sports alive. After a quick three years at LSU, Luke entered an internship with Cadence Sports and graduated right after. It’s amazing for Luke to see these events come to life, admire all the hard work the team has put into them, and watch how many people are truly benefitting from the great causes associated with the event.

Anna Miller

Anna Miller focuses on all levels of the venue production and logistics elements. Anna was born and raised in Louisville, KY. In high school, Anna was a competitive cheerleader and won a national championship. Some of Anna's passions include music and concerts, camping and hiking, traveling to new places, and spending time with my dog, cat, and nieces and nephew. After earning her undergraduate degree from the University of Kentucky, she took an internship and eventually a full time position with the Kentucky Derby Festival as an Event Manager. For her 10 year career at the Derby Festival, Anna was charged with planning events that range from small beer festivals all the way up to Thunder Over Louisville, a massive firework and air show that attracts hundreds of thousands of people every year! Anna has excelled in my craft because of my attention to detail, high-level organization skills, and overall enthusiasm for events.

Roger Mast

Roger joined Cadence in 2009 and has carved a unique specialization in the routing technical arena for our largest cycling events. Roger focuses on permitting, law enforcement coordination, emergency management, and communications. Roger attended Florida State University and the University of Georgia where he studied Management with a focus on Human Resources. Roger has played key roles in a diverse scale of events all across the US. and has also spoken at many conferences to help people understand the some-times-complex areas of event development. An avid cyclist and runner, Roger under-stands events from the participants perspective. He also keeps up to date with the latest technology and tools to execute an event to our standards. When not traveling for events Roger spends as much time as possible with his wife, Tyler, his 10-year-old Son Spencer, and two Standard Poodles.
